CD and DVD labels just call out for circular text and SureThing keeps
making it easier to get results you're looking for. With these three new
enhancements your disc labels will look better than ever.
Text Flows Both Ways. You can now have the text align to the top
or bottom of the circle, allowing two lines readable without rotating
the disc. This is perfect for music CDs with an artist and a title.
The default alignment for text is still the top of the circle. To align
the text to the bottom, double click on the text to bring up the Circular
Text properties, click on the Set Text tab and choose Align
Bottom of Text to Circle.
Limit the Arc of the Curve. Sometimes you don't want the text to
wrap around the entire disc. As in the example above, you wouldn't want
the title to overlap the artist's name. You can limit the curve by setting
the Arch field on the Size/Position tab of the Circular
Text properties. This works especially well when used with text wrapping
described next.
Multi-line Curved Text. One really cool new effects lets you have
multi-lined text on a curve that automatically wraps. This is awesome
for playlists and filenames. It works in conjunction with limiting the
arc, which defines where the text will wrap.
To turn wrap on in Circular Text, go to the Set Text tab and choose
Wrap Text. Don't forget to also limit the arc of the curve as discussed
above.
