CD/DVD Keepsake Desk Calendar Mini CD Ornament

#2 Create a 2004 Desk Calendar

This one is simple to create. Actually, we've already done the hard part — assembling all the months, weeks and days for 2004 into tables. We've even assembled a SureThing CD/DVD Labeler file ready to download. Just personalize it for your own needs and print!

Supplies used:
- SureThing CD/DVD Labeler 4.0+
- Jewel Case Inserts
- Slim jewel cases

STEP 1 Download and open the Calendar template
Click here to download 04_calendar.zip. It's compressed, so you'll need to expand the file after downloading it. Expanding it creates a folder with two SureThing .STD files within it. One contains photographic backgrounds, and the other standard backgrounds. Each file contains 12 designs (one for each month).

STEP 2 Personalize and print the designs
The files will open to the first month in the set. Notice that the 2004 dates have already been assembled into a table.

To view the other months in the set, click the << (previous) and >> (next) buttons in the Actions list.

You can easily change the font, color, size and position of the months and dates. You might also want to use your own photos as backgrounds, add personalized messages, etc. I took the above photo while on vacation at Lake Powell last August.

When you're satisfied with the designs, you're ready to print. The calendar was designed to be used with SureThing Jewel Case Front Panels (but you can change the stock if you like). To print a full year, you'll need 6 sheets loaded in your printer. There are two jewel case panels per sheet. Choose the Print command from the File menu.

Click OK to print the calendars.

STEP 3 Tear out the cards and place them in a jewel case
Place all twelve cards in a jewel case. When you open the jewel case as shown above, it makes the perfect desk calendar!
