#3 Create Mini CD Ornaments
Working for a company that develops CD labeling software, media and labels, you
can imagine we go through a lot of CDs. Some of us began taking home used or broken
disks and re-purposing them as Christmas tree ornaments. That was pretty cool,
not to mention a cheap way to decorate the tree. Then we thought, hey, why not
design holiday labels for them? That was fun and inexpensive too, but why stop
there? Why not burn photo CDs, design holiday labels and then hang them on the
tree? It makes a great gift and a nice tradition. Think of what you'll tell your
grandkids... "Back in our day, we used to put all our digital images on a
Mini CD and hang them on the tree."
Steps:
- Assemble photos and burn a CD (it doesn't have to be a Mini CD, but their
small size makes them ideal for ornaments)
- Design a holiday label
- Print out and apply the label
- Attach some ribbon or fishing line
- Hang it on your tree!
