What is LightScribe?
LightScribe is an inventive technology that burns labels directly on your CDs and DVDs that have the look and feel of a disc you might buy in a store. There’s no sticky paper label or ink that can smudge and smear. The label is literally etched into the disc’s surface using the laser found in your LightScribe enabled CD/DVD disc drive.
You can create almost any design with LightScribe you can imagine. Use your own text, photos, and clipart. Checkout our LightScribe Gallery, where we rotate free downloadable designs each month. And SureThing comes with a large assortment of built-in background images and layouts specially designed for use with LightScribe.
LightScribe’s mantra is Burn-Flip-Burn. This comes from the three steps involved to create a LightScribe disc. First, you burn the contents onto your disc such as music, photos or data. Next, you remove the disc from the drive, flip it over. Finally, you reinsert it into the drive and burn the label.
